Terms of Service
Last updated 21 August 2026
Plain terms for a small product. If something here seems unfair, say so — this is meant to be readable and reasonable, not to catch you out.
Who we are
Dad, I Am Hungry is the service at dadiamhungry.com, operated by [OPERATOR NAME] of [ADDRESS]. Contact: hello@dadiamhungry.com.
The remaining placeholders are unfilled while this is a test site with a handful of invited users. They must be completed before it is opened to the public or takes real payment: whether you trade personally or through a company changes who is liable.
Using the service
You must be 18 or older. This is a service for adults who cook for children, not for children.
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access.
Please do not:
- Copy, scrape or redistribute the recipe content. It is licensed to us and is not ours to give away.
- Try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service.
- Use it for anything unlawful.
Allergies, diets and your own judgement
This is the most important section on the page, so it is written plainly rather than in capitals.
The service filters recipes by the allergies and dietary requirements you enter. It does this twice: once through our recipe provider, and again in our own code before anything is shown to you. We take it seriously and we test it.
It is still not a substitute for reading the label and using your own judgement. Recipe data comes from third parties and can be incomplete or wrong. Ingredients vary by brand and by country. Manufacturing changes. Cross-contamination happens in kitchens, including yours.
Always check the actual ingredients of the actual food you are about to cook, particularly where an allergy is serious. If someone in your household has a severe allergy, treat this service as a source of ideas, not as a safety control.
We are not dietitians or doctors, and nothing here is medical or nutritional advice. Talk to a professional about your family's dietary needs.
Recipes belong to whoever wrote them
Recipes are provided under licence from a third-party service and remain the property of their original authors and publishers. We credit the source and link to the original wherever a recipe is shown.
You may use them to cook for your household. You may not republish or redistribute them.
Subscription, trial and payment
New accounts get a 7-day free trial. No card is required to start it, and nothing is charged during it.
After the trial, continued access requires a subscription: $8 per month or $80 per year, charged through Stripe. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax that may apply where you live.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the pricing page — cancellation stops the next payment, and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
We do not charge a cancellation fee and we do not make you email anyone to cancel.
Refunds
If the service does not work as described, or you are charged in error, contact us and we will refund you. We would rather give your money back than argue about it.
Where local law gives you a statutory right to cancel or be refunded, that right applies in addition to this and is not affected by anything here.
Price changes
If we change the price, existing subscribers will be told at least 30 days beforehand, and the new price applies from the following renewal. You can cancel before it takes effect.
Availability
This is a small service that depends on other services — sign-in, payments, recipe data, hosting. Any of them can fail, and sometimes will. We do not promise uninterrupted availability.
If the service is unavailable for an extended period, contact us about your subscription and we will sort it out fairly.
Ending your account
You can delete your account whenever you like. Your profile, ingredients and plans are deleted with it.
We may suspend or close an account that is being used to attack the service, to break the law, or to redistribute licensed recipe content. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why first.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
If this service changes hands
If ownership changes, your personal information is not transferred automatically. A new owner must put a new agreement to you and obtain your acceptance first. This is set out in full in the Privacy Policy.
Changes to these terms
We will give notice of material changes before they take effect. If you do not accept them, you can cancel and we will refund any unused part of your current period.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of [JURISDICTION], and disputes are subject to its courts.
Another placeholder to settle with a lawyer — usually where the operator is based, though consumer-protection rules in the customer's country often apply regardless.
